Melanie Bernhofer

Project Assistant Connecting Europe

Melanie Bernhofer joined the EPC in January 2020 as Programme Assistant of the joint EPC-Stiftung Mercator project “Connecting Europe”, which aims to connect the projects supported by Stiftung Mercator with the Brussels policy community. She supports Sophie Pornschlegel on topics such as the future of Europe, democracy, youth, climate and migration.

Prior to joining the EPC, Melanie worked at the Representation Office of Salzburg to the European Union. Her other professional experience includes working as an Erasmus+ Coordinator, as well as volunteering for the Jubel European Democracy Festival. She holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Vienna, as well as two Bachelor degrees in Political Science and Communication Science.
