EU industrial strategy

Robin Huguenot-Noël spoke at the Industrial Affairs Committee of Business Europe about ongoing trends and prospects for the development of an EU industrial strategy. His presentation focused on the reception of the recent Commission’s Communication on a ‘Renewed EU Industrial Policy Strategy’ and how the review of the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) could better reflect the transformations facing Europe’s industry. He also presented the upcoming EPC taskforce calling for an ‘Industry Action Plan for the EU’.


Public perception of European security and defence policy

Yann-Sven Rittelmeyer spoke about the public perception of European security and defence policy at the 13th CSDP High Level Course organised by the Belgian Royal High Institute for Defence in the framework of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).


Mentoring start-ups

Annika Hedberg participated at Helsinki Challenge Global Impact Camp as a mentor, providing reflections and suggestions on next steps for a number of science teams that had invented products for addressing, for example, global health, energy and climate challenges. These teams, made of research based innovators, were finalists in the Helsinki Challenge competition. 


Consultation by members of French Parliament
25 September 2017

Janis Emmanouilidis, Julian Rappold, and Yann-Sven Rittelmeyer have been consulted by Ms Valérie Gomez-Bassac and Mr Michel Herbillon, members of the French Parliament, respectively Rapporteur and President of the working group on 'Democratic conventions to relaunch Europe' of the Assemblée Nationale. The discussion focused on the link between the citizens and the EU, and was related to the experience gained from the New Pact for Europe' and Connecting Europe projects.
