The event was jointly organised by the Forum Journalismus und Medien (fjum), the European Commission Representation in Austria and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to Austria.

The EU's multiple crises

Fabian Zuleeg and Janis A. Emmanouilidis contributed a chapter to the book 'Scotland, the EU and Brexit: A guide to the future. Their chapter, called 'The Europe Union's multiple crises', warns of the dangers of the 'poly-crisis' the EU is still facing and the resurgence of an illiberal and closed Europe.

Yann-Sven Rittelmeyer and Christal Morehouse co-wrote a chapter entitled 'The 'New Pact for Europe'-Project: Debating the European Crises' in a book edited by Angelos Giannakopoulos on 'Solidarity in the European Union: Challenges and Perspectives', published by The S. Daniel Abraham Center for International and Regional Studies, Tel Aviv University.

Mid-term review of the European Agenda on Migration

On 19 July 2017, Marco Funk and Katharina Bamberg participated in a stakeholder consultation organised by the European Commission on the mid-term review of the European Agenda on Migration. The consultation gathered representatives of think tanks, academia, NGOs and international organisations in order to evaluate EU actions to date and to provide policy recommendations for the second half of the Juncker Commission’s term.
