European External Action Service and National Diplomacies Project

The EPC and the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA) launched a joint research project on ‘The European External Action Service (EEAS) and National Diplomacies’.

Analysis of the EEAS is essential in order to understand the ways in which the European Union engages with the world. This project examined the relations between the EEAS and the Member States, included case studies to be conducted by experts in Brussels and in 15 Member States, and was assisted by a high-level steering committee. The final results of the project were presented to stakeholders in spring 2013.
