Brussels, 30 October 2025 – The European Policy Centre (EPC) is among four top think tanks in Brussels and 10 across the EU and the European Free Trade Area (EFTA) to watch in 2025. On Think Tanks, a global consultancy and information platform, recognises 100  think  tanks nominated by peers for their innovation, collaboration and impact. While not a ranking, the initiative reflects how think tanks see and inspire each other.

On Think Tanks highlights the EPC’s work on transnational dialogue among think tanks and policy makers across Europe and globally. It mentions projects such as the Brussels Economic Security Forum, Ukraine’s European Future and Connecting Europe, which seeks to facilitate the role of civil society in EU policymaking.

Fabian Zuleeg, Chief Executive of the EPC, said:

“We are proud to be recognised as one of 100 Think Tanks to Watch 2025. This reflects the EPC’s dedication to collaboration and peer-learning with the global think tank community, as well as our commitment to shaping informed debate on the key challenges facing Europe”.

To further strengthen its thought leadership, the EPC is placing communication at the centre of its strategy. Bringing 20 years of experience in foreign affairs, sustainable development and communication, Bianca Baumler has taken on the new position of Associate Director for Strategic Communication. With her team of media, editorial, event management and social media professionals, she aims to enhance the EPC’s  visibility, influence and convening power.

“It is a challenge to start leading the communication of a think tank in today’s AI and algorithm-driven digital space,” said Baumler.

“With the post-truth world boosted by large language models, it is even more important to help think tankers reach influencers and policymakers with their research, analysis and discussions. At EPC, we will strive to make those connections by thinking out of the box and more deeply understanding what EU policymakers need”.

From 2006–2013, Baumler was an EU diplomat in charge of media and communication at the EU Delegations in Syria and Ukraine. As part of the founding team of the Brussels-based European Endowment for Democracy (EED), Baumler worked with democracy activists in the EU Neighbourhood to promote their work and the role of the EED. Bianca grew up in New York and Djibouti, was educated in France, Germany and the United States, and identifies as European.
