Riccardo Bosticco is a PhD Researcher at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy, and Strategy (CSDS) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. A graduate of the University of Bologna and Maastricht University, he previously worked for the Istituto Affari Internazionali and Maastricht University, interned at the European Commission, and worked on semiconductor and quantum policy at the European Policy Centre.

His research interests revolve around security studies and the role of technology and the private sector in great power competition. His research at the CSDS is part of the ERC-funded project "Competition in the Digital Era: Geopolitics and Technology in the 21st Century," aiming to explain competition dynamics for access to and control of critical technologies.
