Ilene van Brouwershaven is a Programme Assistant for the European Migration and Diversity Programme. She studied a Masters in Public Policy at Maastricht University/United Nations University (the Netherlands, specialising in migrations studies and social protection policy, and a Bachelor in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges from Leiden University College The Hague.

Before joining the EPC, Ilene obtained professional experience through multiple internships at amongst others the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Dutch Embassy in Malaysia) and Human Rights Watch (Amsterdam office).
