At this Friday Update, EPC Director of Studies Janis A. Emmanouilidis and EPC Chief Executive Fabian Zuleeg will share their analysis of the latest developments at EU and member state level, including on COVID-19 and Europe’s response to the ongoing crisis. They will be joined by EPC Policy Analyst Marta Pilati. The main focus will be on the European Commission’s proposal for the revised Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and the recovery initiative concentrating on a number of key questions.  What is included in the Commission’s proposals and how are the MFF and the new ‘recovery fund’ linked to each other? How do the proposals compare to the ideas brought forward by France and Germany and by the ‘frugal four’? What can we expect from the political negotiations among the EU27 and how will the process be conducted in the weeks and months to come?
