The Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) of the European Union is, in its current form, incomplete, and this has led to strong social divergences among Eurozone countries, highlighting the need to consider the social dimension of the EMU more seriously and more systematically, heard participants at this Policy Briefing with László Andor, EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
This Policy Briefing followed the publication of a Policy Brief, written by Commissioner Andor, on Developing the social dimension of a deep and genuine Economic and Monetary Union. This was also the last event chaired by Hans Martens as EPC Chief Executive, who stepped down from his post on 30 September after 11 years at the helm.
