This high-level roundtable discussion was the second in a series of five meetings organised in the framework of the joint project “From Tampere 20 to Tampere 2.0" by the European Policy Centre, the Odysseus Academic Network, EMN-Finland and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. Marking the 20th anniversary of the 1999 Tampere Council Conclusions, this project aimed to take stock of the existing EU migration and asylum policies as well as to provide recommendations on the way forward.
This second roundtable meeting, bringing together high-level policy-makers, academics and other stakeholders, discussed the partnership with third countries of origin.
