Simona Lusuardi is a Programme Assistant in the Europe in the World Programme. Before joining the EPC, she completed a traineeship at Euregha – the European Regional and Local Health Authorities – supporting policy analysis in the field of European health policy. Prior to that, she gained experience as an Assistant at the Italian Consulate in Los Angeles for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, where she worked on consular security and visa procedures. She also worked as an Assistant at the International Committee for the Development of People, contributing to humanitarian and refugee integration projects in response to the crises in Ukraine and Afghanistan.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Cooperation and Development from the University of Rome La Sapienza and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs from the University of Bologna. Her interests include the EU’s Common Security and Defense Policy, EU–Asia relations, and China’s foreign policy.
