The EPC is looking for a Junior Policy Analyst or Policy Analyst (depending on experience) to join its organisation to work on topics related primarily to EU-UK relations.

The successful candidate will have a solid academic background and a good understanding of EU-UK relations during and since Brexit, EU institutions and EU policy developments and an  interest in engaging in and developing cross-sectoral and cross-disciplinary activities. The candidate will also have experience in managing and organising projects, including international, EU funded initiatives. Contracts are offered on a consultancy basis at local market rates.

The candidate should have the following profile:

• Post-graduate degree in political or social science, international relations, law or public policy, or a related field
• At least one year or more of relevant work experience (other than internships) for JPA, two to three years for Policy Analyst
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research, write and present high-quality policy analysis
• Strong interest in European affairs in general and up-to-date knowledge of EU UK relations and UK domestic political debates. Expertise on EU-UK cooperation on economic security, technological innovation or sustainable growth is a plus
• Ability to identify key links between different policy areas with a proactive attitude towards shaping and broadening the activities of the programme
• Experienced project manager, including delivering complex, international projects and events (EU funded projects would be a plus)
• Excellent communication and English language skills (oral and written; additional language skills would be a plus)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team

The main duties foreseen are:

• Project Management
• Conducting research and writing policy analyses
• Organising, overseeing and moderating events
• Support with identifying opportunities for future initiatives, including producing new ideas, fundraising and taking initiative on projects and activities
• Work directly with the CEO and the organisational leadership on strategic issues regarding EU-UK relations.
