Every autumn, the European Commission launches the Enlargement Package, providing a detailed assessment of the progress made by the EU aspirants in the Western Balkans, the eastern neighbourhood and Türkiye, alongside recommendations on their reform priorities.

This year’s package will be accompanied by in-depth policy reviews outlining what the Union itself must do to prepare for the accession of new members. Coming at a critical geopolitical moment, these documents will feed directly into the debate about the future of Europe, linking the imperatives of enlargement and reform.

The European Policy Centre is delighted to invite you to this in-person Policy Briefing, where European Commission Director-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (ENEST) Gert Jan Koopman will present and discuss the key findings of the Enlargement Package and the accompanying policy reviews.
