The EU faces urgent politico-military choices about European defence and security, Ukraine and NATO, making the role of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC) more crucial than ever. As the highest military body within the Council of the EU, EUMC provides military advice to the EU’s High Representative and ensures EU’s collective defence.

This event will commence with a keynote speech by General Seán Clancy and lead to a discussion on how EUMC is bolstering EU’s military readiness, how it complements with NATO amidst the US strategic realignment, and efforts to end the war in Ukraine.

This event is part of the EPC Thought Leadership Forum on defence and security, an exclusive series that brings together top decision-makers across various sectors for a frank and engaging conversation about the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing Europe today.
