For decades, Europe’s defence and security have relied on American leadership and NATO. However, with the US pivot to the Indo-Pacific, the security threat from Russia and wider geopolitical shifts have compelled Europe to assume greater responsibility for its own security, with billions of euros poured into the defence of both Europe and Ukraine.
