Iana Maisuradze is a Policy Analyst in the Europe in the World Programme at the European Policy Centre (EPC). Iana first joined the EPC in 2021 and has since held several roles within the organisation, contributing to research and policy analysis. She focuses on Transatlantic Affairs and Security & Defence, EU–NATO cooperation, the European Security Architecture, and the Eastern Partnership, with particular attention to Georgia, Ukraine, and the South Caucasus.
Her professional experience spans academia, executive education, think tanks, research, and policy institutions, including working at the College of Europe in Bruges, Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), where she focused on Peace Operations and Peacebuilding as well as Terrorism & Preventing Violent Extremism. She also completed internships at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. Iana served as the Young Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium in 2016-2017.
Iana holds a MA in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and College of Europe in Bruges, where her research focused on a transatlantic strategy towards Russia considering Eastern Partner countries – Georgia and Ukraine. She also holds BSc and MSc in Business Administration from KU Leuven, Belgium and speaks English, French, Russian and Spanish along with her native Georgian.
