Johannes Greubel is the Head of the Transnationalisation Programme and Project Leader of Connecting Europe, a joint initiative of Stiftung Mercator and the EPC.
He is also a Senior Policy Analyst, working closely with the European Politics and Institutions programme on EU governance, inter-institutional relations and (participatory) democracy. Since joining the EPC in 2018, he has been involved in several flagship initiatives and has coordinated numerous large-scale projects, including the Horizon Europe projects, REGROUP, PRO-RES and EU-IDEA.
Before joining the EPC, he worked as a lecturer and research assistant at the Jean-Monnet-Chair for European Studies and International Relations at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. Prior to that, he gained experience at the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation Germany and during internships at the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Berlin and the German Bundestag.
Johannes holds a Master’s degree with distinction in Political Science and Sociology from the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. He also studied at the University of Kent in Canterbury and undertook a DAAD research fellowship at the Jawaharlal-Nehru-University New Delhi..
