Tabea Schaumann is a Junior Policy Analyst in the Executive Office of the European Policy Centre.
Prior to joining the EPC, Tabea was a Programme Assistant for Peace, Security & Defence at Friends of Europe, where she focused on the Western Balkans, enlargement, the war in Ukraine and geopolitics. She also completed the Schuman Traineeship at the European Parliament, where she was part of the Policy Department for External Relations within the Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union (DG EXPO), supporting the Subcommittee for Security and Defence (SEDE) and the Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET). Prior to working at the EP, Tabea was a Domain Expert Intern with Dataminr, an AI platform for real-time event and risk detection in London.
Tabea holds a master’s degree in European Studies from King’s College London and Humboldt University of Berlin, as well as a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Manchester Metropolitan University.
