Regional economic development in the EU

Robin Huguenot-Noël acted as a discussant to a presentation on ‘lessons on conditionalities’ at the launch event for the OECD’s "Rethinking Regional Development Policy-Making Event" report organised by the European Commission, in Brussels. His presentation responded to a paper written by Anwar Shah, Senior Fellow at Brookings Institutions, and built upon the results of an EPC study on conditionalities related to the use of EU structural funds.

Amanda Paul moderated a panel on "Ownership, inclusiveness and differentiation – addressing expectations for the Eastern Partnership following the Brussels Summit" at a conference organised by EU Commission DGNEAR and the EEAS on  the Launch of the new structure for the Eastern Partnership Delivering on joint commitments following the Brussels Summit. 


EU-Japan relations

Giovanni Grevi spoke at a conference organised by the Institute for European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in collaboration with the Katholieke Universiteiy Leuven and Waseda University – the ‘Japan-EU Forum’ – where he addressed the EU-Japan strategic partnership and  its implications for the global liberal order.
