Achieving a New Regulatory Culture in the European Union - An Action Plan

Regulation is a basis for social, environmental and health protection. It is also a determinant of economic growth. Better Regulation can reinforce key elements of the Lisbon Agenda as the Union moves toward fulfilling its 2010 goals of becoming the most competitive, knowledge-based economy in the world. In this EPC Working Paper, the authors outline a concrete action plan to reinforce the work of the European institutions in an effort to develop a new ‘regulatory culture’ throughout the decision-making process of the EU.
