PROJECT

The future of the Social Pillar

The future of the Social Pillar is a collaborative project with the European Policy Centre, Social Platform, SOLIDAR, AK EUROPA, and the Foundation for the European Progressive Studies (FEPS). The objective is to discuss and propose policy recommendations for the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) review in 2025.

With the upcoming European elections and change of the European Commission, it is necessary to guarantee the implementation of the three headline targets of the Social Action Plan of the EPSR in all member states by 2030.

The aim of the project is to:

  1. Offer a comprehensive analysis of the EU's progress in advancing equal opportunities and improving employment conditions as envisioned by the EPSR.
  2. Influence and shape the agenda of the next European Commission’s Work Programme and European Council’s Strategic Agenda.
  3. Underline the importance of social partners’ insights in shaping effective policies and decisions through a ’Shadow Social Agenda’.
