Lena Lopez
Research Assistant
Lena Lopez​ is a Research Assistant in the European Politics and Institutions programme at the European Policy Centre.

Before joining the EPC, Lena completed her Bachelor in Management at ESCP Business School alongside her law degree at Paris 1. It was through these two studies that she discover a particular interest in EU-related topics.

The subject of her Bachelor’s thesis was the economic crisis resulting from COVID-19 and how Social Europe could be a solution. As part of her Bachelor’s program, she completed an internship in a Paris press agency for fashion, beauty, and luxury.

Before starting her Franco-German double Master in European Studies at Sciences Po Strasbourg and Viadrina, Lena volunteered in a refugee camp in Athens.

As part of her Master’s degree, Lena is writing her thesis on the agenda setting of the EU’s strategy for sustainable and circular textiles.
