The EPSR, proclaimed in Gothenburg in November 2017, sets out 20 principles and rights essential for fair and well-functioning labour markets and social protection systems. The EPSR Action Plan, adopted in May 2021, proposes headline targets for the EU to reach by 2030. However, five eventful years after the Pillar was proclaimed and in the context of Russia’s war in Ukraine and the cost-of-living crisis, where does the EU stand on implementing the EPSR and meeting the three Action Plan’s targets?

After an opening presentation, three workshops will take place in parallel, each looking at a specific target of the Action Plan. One group will explore the gender employment gap, a second group will look at adult training and skills, and the third will focus on child poverty.
