The European Policy Centre is delighted to invite you to this online Policy Dialogue, organised in collaboration between the Sustainable Prosperity for Europe programme and the Connecting Europe Project.

The aim of this policy dialogue is to evaluate the outcomes of the ongoing 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), held in Azerbaijan between November 11-22. The discussion will consider the state of play of the climate emergency and reflect on the next steps for global climate action, including the obstacles and opportunities ahead. Special consideration will be given to the issue of climate finance, particularly in establishing an updated international climate finance goal—the ‘New Collective Quantified Goal’ (NCQG). The event will also discuss the role of the EU in enhancing global climate action and ensuring effective implementation of the agreed measures in anticipation of COP30 in 2025.

Participation is open to EPC members, Connecting Europe partners, the media, and EU officials
