Thijs Vandenbussche
Policy Analyst
Thijs Vandenbussche is Climate and Energy Policy Analyst at the Sustainable Prosperity for Europe Programme at the European Policy Centre and Research Assistant to the European Energy Policy Chair at College of Europe (Bruges campus). He has several years of experience in research and organising conferences in the field of energy policy, as well as environmental policies.

Before joining the EPC, Thijs worked as an academic assistant at the College of Europe (2017-2021), where he coordinated cooperation between the College of Europe and DG Environment. He also completed a Schuman traineeship at the Structural Policies Unit of the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS, 2016-17, Brussels), where he published briefings on transport and energy policies.

He is a graduate in Political Sciences and EU Studies (Ghent University, 2014 & College of Europe, Bruges, 2016) and Economics (Ghent University, 2015).
