Annika Hedberg was invited to act as a commentator at a high-level breakfast debate with the CEOs of Nordic energy companies - Fortum, Statkraft and Vattenfall - at the European Parliament. The discussion focused on the role of energy in achieving a climate-neutral Europe by 2050, and touched upon the current level of climate ambition, the importance of carbon pricing, the need for electrification of economy based on renewables and a fair energy transition.

The Effects of the COVID-19 on Climate Change Policies
Annika Hedberg participated in an EU-Mexico Think Tanks Online Dialogue on the Effects of the COVID-19 on Climate Change Policies. The event was organised by the European Union Delegation to Mexico. Annika spoke about European Green Deal as the basis for the EU’s recovery, and more specifically about the circular economy, clean energy and cleaner air as solutions to the corona crisis.
